HOW TO USE
This is such a versatile and safe oil, there is probably no wrong way to apply or diffuse lavender. Because this is a GRAS oil, it can even be used in as an ingredient in capsules. It isn't a tasty oil, however, so it's not a great choice for use in teas or flavoring.
It is antiseptic, mildly diuretic, and expectorant. It helps release phlegm. It helps promote normal menstrual flow. It is anti-inflammatory, anti-infectious and helps with cramping.
It is steam distilled from the flowering tops of the true lavender plant.
MENTAL / EMOTIONAL BENEFITS: Lavender can help us move from critical judgement to kindness and generosity.
CAUTIONS: Lavender is wonderfully calming in small amounts, but used in too large a quantity or too often, it can be overly stimulating. This is especially true with babies and small children. If a little is good, even a little less may be better. Because Lavender is such a pleasant smelling oil, it's easy to overdo it. Never apply undiluted to burns.
